In Posterum
An interplay of sound, visuals, prints, and poetry — In Posterum explores imagined realities of the future, through artist responses to prints in the Brandywine collection.
The exhibition features poems by Ella Stevens, Nate Bogosian, Noah Kossowsky, Pragati Parajuli, and Rozway. Each poet has responded to a selected artwork with their own imagination of the future, expanding how we understand the visual pieces. Central to the exhibition is a three-channel video installation. This work presents brief, imagined scenes inspired by the prints. Accompanied by a score from composer Taylor Schneider, the eight-minute installation, directed by Rozway, blends visual and auditory elements to create an immersive experience.
The exhibition includes prints by Agathe Bouton, Lois Johnson, Lesley Mitchell, Robert Roesch, and Sarah Van Keuren. These artworks form the basis for the dialogue between the visual and written forms on display. In Posterum encourages visitors to consider how images, words, and sounds can shape new ways of seeing and understanding art.
